The SmokeAway Purifier Fan caught our attention through social media ads promising discreet smoke filtration and odor control. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. Despite claims of a free herb grinder included, ours never arrived—an early red flag that set the tone for what followed.
Design & Usability
The fan feels lightweight and cheaply made, and only works with the short USB-C cable that comes in the box—a frustrating and unnecessary limitation. We later discovered that a rechargeable version exists, but the product listings and ads didn’t make it clear which model we were ordering. The confusion didn’t help the experience.
Performance & Flaws
When it comes to performance, the SmokeAway falls short. It doesn’t fully eliminate smoke, and definitely doesn’t neutralize the smell. After exhaling through the device, we could still see smoke escaping, and a noticeable odor lingered in the room. While it does offer a small amount of air circulation, that’s about all it reliably delivers. We did find that it might help delay smoke detectors, but calling it a true “purifier” feels like a stretch.
Price & Where to Buy
We purchased the two-pack for $76 (down from the listed $92) and added a 10-pack of replacement filters for $14. Later, we found the same product on Amazon for nearly half the price, which stings considering the underwhelming quality.

Final Verdict
The SmokeAway Purifier Fan might reduce smoke just enough to keep you under the radar—but for the price, it doesn’t deliver the filtration or scent control it promises. With cheaper options on Amazon and questionable ad transparency, this one’s hard to recommend.
