Review: Speed Bump Snuff Dispenser

Snowbox V2S Snuff Box
Speed Bump

The Speed Bump Snuff Dispenser looks like the kind of product that could simplify everything—a sleek, pocket-sized upgrade to the old-school snuff box that promises quick, clean, one-press delivery. Marketed as a “pepper shaker,” but clearly designed with snuff in mind, it’s built for convenience and discretion.

On paper, it’s a great idea. In practice, though, it never quite delivered. We loaded it exactly as instructed and followed the directions step by step, but couldn’t get the thing to actually dispense. What should’ve been an easy, clever little device turned into a bit of a letdown.

Design & Usability No doubt, the Speed Bump looks cool. It’s minimal, pocketable, and has a smooth, understated design that feels modern. The press-to-dispense mechanism is supposed to make the process clean and consistent—no mess, no spills, no fuss.

Build quality leans lightweight and functional—it’s mostly plastic, so don’t expect anything premium, but it feels solid enough for what it is. Still, since it didn’t work as intended, the practicality is kind of lost.

One small but important improvement would be including a funnel or loading tool. Getting product into the chamber cleanly is harder than it should be, and a tiny funnel would make all the difference.

Pros Cons
  • Compact and discreet design
  • Affordable price point
  • Smart, modern concept
  • Didn’t actually dispense during testing

  • No funnel or loading tool included

  • Plastic build feels inexpensive

Final Verdict The Speed Bump Snuff Dispenser has the right idea—a modern, discreet alternative to the traditional box—but the execution just isn’t there yet. It looks the part, feels decent in the hand, and could’ve been a real standout if it worked as advertised. Unfortunately, despite following the directions carefully, we couldn’t get it to dispense very much at all.

It’s a promising concept that needs another pass at design refinement. If future versions fix the functionality and include a loading funnel, the Speed Bump could find a real following. For now, though, it’s more frustration than convenience.
